Publishing history

Damian Wayne is ranked No. 1 in the Top 10 Best Robins at IGN and No. 6 in 10 Most Popular Book Comic Books in Indonesia Introduced in the Last 25 Years.

Son of the Demon is used as a backup character in various stories before appearing as Damian Wayne.

In the story of Elseworlds, The Brotherhood of the Bat (1995), a version called Tallant Wayne appeared, battling his grandfather Ra's al Ghul. The Brotherhood of the Bat features the future in which Ra's al Ghul discovered Batcave after Bruce Wayne's death, and the League of Assassins outfit in the Batman costumes that varied based on the design of the rejected Wayne. Talia and Bruce's son joined the Brotherhood in his father's costume, to destroy him from within.

In Kingdom Come (1996) by Mark Waid and Alex Ross, who served as possible future for the canon at the time, the children of Batman and Talia were named Ibn al Xu'ffasch , literally "Son of the Bat", and a member of Lex Luthor's inner circle. He falls in love with Nightstar, Dick Grayson's daughter and Starfire. He works as a double agent for Batman in the Luthor organization. At Elliot S! The Novelization of Maggin Kingdom Come , al Xu'ffasch informs Bruce that his mother Talia is alive and works as Superior Mother in India, one of Mother Teresa's successors. al Xu'ffasch reappeared in the 1999 Waid sequel Kingdom .

Kingdom: Son of the Bat shows a flashback that gives new insights into the history of Ibn al Xu'ffasch: that he was raised by Ra's al Ghul to be the heir of his kingdom, that he eventually killed his grandfather (cut off his head for preventing regeneration again), and she sought treatment from a psychiatrist. Gibson. He was eventually recruited by Rip Hunter to try to stop a madman named Gog change his history. He works with several other heroes of his generation - Kid Flash, the daughter of Flash (Wally West); Nightstar (Nightwing and Starfire's child) and Offspring, son of Plastic Man.

In the League of Batmen (2001), continued from Bat Brotherhood, Tallant led his own team of Batmen variants to combat the plague that was the legacy of al Ghul. During the battle, Tallant discovers that his grandfather was the one who killed his father and then cloned him. Ra even sent a clone to kill his own daughter. Due to the death of his parents in the hands of Ra, Tallant has finished following the tragic footsteps of his father as Batman. The new Dark Knight wants justice for his parents and tries to stop his grandfather, while having to fight against his father's murder.

The story of Grant Morrison titled Batman and Son (2006) extends the storyline of Son of the Demon as part of Batman's overhaul of personality after the Infinite Crisis. In Morrison's version, Damian Wayne's son is the result of a meeting between Batman and Talia, where Dark Knight claims he was drugged when they were in the Tropic of Cancer, though Morrison later admitted the drug-giving claim was a canonical error on his part. Since then on Morrison issues written by Batman Incorporated, druging has been reaffirmed and once again part of Damian's origins. But in the Robin Rises story arc: Omega , Tomasi discovered the drug problem. Bruce, while telling the story of Damian's conception, implies that it is consensual [not drugs] by stating that he follows his conscience: "I let my heart put my head aside."

The final issue of 52 (2008) points to Kingdom Come the alternate universe as Earth-22, thus making parts of Ibn al Xu'ffasch's version of the DC Multiverse and Damian Wayne parallel universes. Justice Society of America vol. 3 # 22 (2009) reveals that he will eventually marry Nightstar with whom he will have a daughter and a son.

Fictional character biography

Batman and Son

Damian's origins are unknown to Batman. Genetically enhanced and grown in an artificial uterus, Damian is meant to be a formidable warrior. He was raised by his mother Talia al Ghul and League of Assassins. He became a gifted martial artist before his teenage years, during which time Talia revealed Damian's existence to Bruce Wayne and left him in Batman's custody in an attempt to disrupt Batman's work.

Before his time, spoiled and violent, Damian fought with Tim Drake, whom he wanted to replace as Robin, and Drake's drunken blow from Tyrannosaurus crammed into Batcave when Tim stopped fighting to help him. Damian then runs away, don the Robin variant costume made of the tunic and old mask of Jason Todd and various Foreign League equipment, and fights with and beheads the evil Spook. Despite her perverse and evil, Damian seems genuinely eager to help Wayne's war on evil as he sees himself as Wayne's son and wants Wayne's approval. Unfortunately, because of how he grew up, Damian lacks some sort of common sense in terms of social behavior, and believes that to be accepted by Batman, he must kill his rivals, including Tim Drake.

Finally, Batman confronts Talia to confirm Damian's true identity, but both Talia and Damian are immediately caught in the explosion. They survived the explosion. But Damian's severely wounded body needed a harvested organ transplant, which his mother ordered her doctor to do. Damian made a full recovery.

Ra's al Ghul's Awakening

Starting at Batman Annual # 26 ("Head of the Demon"), Talia brings Damian to Australian Outback, where she is taught in the secret history of her grandfather Ra's al Ghul. Talia does not realize that Ra's former servant, White Ghost, plans to use Damian as a shell for Ra's soul to return to Earth. This process will of course kill Damian. Talia was able to save her son from his fate in the last minute.

Ra's can still return, but as the undead corpses are rotting and destroyed, it still needs Damian to stabilize his form. Damian escapes to warn Batman, but is chased by his evil grandfather. Upon entering Wayne Manor, Damian tries to convey to (Tim Drake) the fact that Ra has returned. Tim, suspicious of Damian's intentions, did not believe his story and started fighting. Damian escapes and meets Alfred. Before he can deliver the news effectively, he is attacked by Tim, who sees Damian's efforts to help Alfred stumble as an assault, and renew their battle. As they fight, members of the League of Assassins approach the manor with the intention of killing everyone else inside and bringing Damian back to Ra alive. Damian and Tim fight side by side against Ra's and his minions. Their collaboration was hindered by their very different fighting philosophy. Damian is willing to betray the Team at any time for his own safety. Ra's captured both and told Batman that he would use one of them for his own body. Batman offers his own body instead.

Ra declined the offer, feeling that he needed someone younger. The choice is Tim or Damian. Batman offers a third alternative: "Fountain of Essence" which contains the qualities of Lazarus Pit. Batman and Ra go find a fountain, leaving Tim, Damian, Nightwing, Alfred Pennyworth and Talia to fight Sensei. Damian leaves his mother and Tim to an unknown fate, while he goes with his father. He was eventually arrested by Ra and nearly lost his life. Batman and the others managed to save him, and Talia took his son and escaped.

The next conversation between Tim and Alfred implies that Batman has done DNA testing on Damian. Alfred said Bruce meant to tell him the results when the time was right. Right now, Tim realizes that Damian is Bruce's son, and exclaims "Son of Satan is my brother?"

Batman R.I.P.

Before the start of Grant Morrison "Batman R.I.P." bow story in Batman # 675, Damian felt that someone came out to get Batman. In response to this, Talia began to formulate a plan involving Commissioner James Gordon, who rescued Talia and Damian from a minefielded Wayne Manor while searching for Batman, who was mad and lost.

Damian and Alfred compete to help Batman against Black Glove in the commanded Batmobile. Damian, who was driving, dropped an ambulance from the bridge with no sign of regret or even anxiety. When Alfred rebuked him, Damian retaliated with the threat of being slapped. The only occupant of the ambulance is the Joker.

Battle for Cowl

In Nightwing # 153 (2009), Damian is shown abandoned in Alfred Pennyworth's care and trained by Dick Grayson (aka Nightwing).

After the commencement of Batman: Battle for the Cowl, it appears that Damian now lives in Gotham, and lives under the command of Nightwing (to some extent). Where before Damian depicts an arrogant and vicious personality, it seems that his father's "death" has lowered him to a more child-like mindset, as shown when he brings the excitement in the Batmobile with an older girl. It was discovered by Oracle, who expelled the girl and took control of the Batmobile, intending to bring Damian back home. The car was blinded by Killer Croc and Poison Ivy, who were preparing to kill Damian. The older girl (Damian's companion) is then eaten by Killer Croc. Damian is saved by Nightwing who is finally cornered by Black Mask people, until a murderous figure appears stating that he is Batman (later revealed to be Jason Todd). Despite being shot by Todd, Damian recovers and saves Team Drake from falling to death inside Jason's Batcave. When Grayson hung his Nightwing coat to become the newest Batman, he chose Damian to think of Robin's mantle on his side.

Batman: Reborn

Despite being a Robin to Grayson Batman, Damian reveals that he does not really care about his brother and does not respect him as Batman and that the latter should get it. In the act of defiance, Damian decides to make Robin independent mantle from Batman and decides to stop Dr. Phosphorus from breaking into Project Cadmus, but failed miserably and saved by Dick. Dick then begins to train Damian for how to become the new Robin and both develop their own unique fighting style of evil. Damian then begins to mock Tim Drake for not being selected as Robin, causing Tim to defeat Damian, only to be stopped by Dick.

After Tim leaves, Damian begins to engage in a game of chess with Hush, visiting him secretly against Dick's orders. When Elliot asks why Damian visited him behind Bat-family backs, Damian refused him for wanting to defend Elliot's company. Elliot suspects that Damian is rather using a resemblance to Bruce to "spend time with his parents". Dick and Damian then meet a villain named Professor Pyg, who has created an army called Dollotrons. Dick and Damian took the whole army and began to form brotherly relationships. Damian blames himself for not being able to save a Dollotron, a girl named Sasha, but without her knowledge, the girl is taken by Jason Todd, who has shot Damian. thereby becoming a new opposite number of Robin in a criminal-fighting war without capture against Red Hood (Red Hood's intent is "let punishment fit the crime").

Damian and Dick then attacked the Firefly, who tried to kill the Black Mask. Victor Zsasz defeated Robin and rescued the Black Mask while Dick lowered the Firefly. These events caused Hush to flee, causing Damian to cultivate further hatred for criminals. Damian was present when Dick was sworn in to JLA, after hearing, Damian demanded to be sworn in along with Dick, but his demands were soon ignored. Damian was once again rescued by Dick, with Azrael's help, after a man named Amon tried to sacrifice himself. Sasha, now nicknamed Scarlet by Todd, came back and attacked Robin, when Jason attacked Dick, the two duos fought until the arrival of the Flamingo, which temporarily paralyzed Damian. Talia fixes Damian's spine, but installing a monitor connected to his brain allows him to control every move.

When Dick and Damian went through various events together, such as the Black Mask, the Black Night and Batman's replicas, the two bonds grew stronger, prompting Talia to hand control over the monitor to Deathstroke who tried to use it. to kill Dick. Working together, Dick and Damian managed to stop Deathstroke. Since Dick is not so concerned about Wayne Enterprises's financial problems, though inheriting from Bruce along with Tim, Damian decides to involve himself and manage to impress the board of directors. Although he did not file a lawsuit against Dick, since Grayson was not named Wayne Enterprises's heir, but rather a high-ranking member, he opposed Tim, who was named Wayne Enterprises's heir.

Robin Red

Damian's second year as Robin begins with bang, as he chooses this time to fight against his predecessor Red Robin. The team, who has kept a list of criminals and tasks that he calls Hit List, drew Damian's anger when he hacked the Hit List and found a hidden layer of allies for Bat-Family considered a potential threat by Tim. Damian found himself on this list. During a reconnaissance mission, Damian cuts Tim's line, causing him to fall from a height. He survives, and Tim pulls Damian into an all-out fight that begins with their quarry, and ends up in front of the theater where Bruce Wayne's parents are killed. Both were stopped by Batman, who punished them both for fighting in front of the theater where Batman was born. The two then go into a vengeful truce for the rest of Damian's performance in the series. Dick suggests changing the Hit List password to Cousin Oliver, because Damian has little interest in pop culture references and would never have guessed. Dick noted that his name was not on the list and Tim insisted it was because Dick was the only thing Tim believed implicitly.

Black Night

After Bruce's skull was taken from his grave, Damian and Dick decided to carry the rest of his skull, along with his grandparents from Damian, to their base under Wayne Tower. Damian was quite shaken by the sight of the bones of his family. On the way to the cave, Dick's body was possessed by Deadman, among whom Damian scowled in bewilderment. Deadman then owns and leaves Damian's body, then passes his knowledge of Black Lanterns attacks onto him. The two heroes then prepare for Black Lanterns' attack on Gotham. After robbing the National Army Guard Force, Dick, Damian, and Team Drake who arrive, can rescue Commissioner Gordon, Oracle, and the police officer alive in Gotham Central from the original version of the Dark Knight naughty gallery member who has died. However, they later find themselves in a terrible encounter with Dick Grayson's parents and Tim Drake revived as Black Lanterns. Dick and Tim sent Damian with the Gordons to their underground base as they fought with the Black Lanterns. Dick finally orders Damian through his comrades to send one of his Wingers with Mr. Freeze. Grayson used a weapon to cryogenically suspend him and Tim, forcing Black Lanterns to retreat because they could not read the signs of their lives. Deadman then revives former Boy Wonders.

Bruce Wayne's Return

Talia began cloning Damian when she realized that her son had fully sided with Dick Grayson and Bat-Family. Damian finally defends his Robin mantle, telling Talia that Robin is the best thing he ever did, and Talia does not have to save him from something he chooses. Talia then shows Damian a cloned version of herself, which she sees as the younger brother of Damian. Talia confesses to Damian that although she loves him, she is too perfectionist to admire her for choosing the path that opposes her openly, and therefore she is no longer accepted, and will be considered an enemy of the House of al Ghul. Damian firmly replied that he hoped to be a decent person. Damian (like Robin) is then seen working with Dick and Alfred to start their own search for Bruce Wayne.

During a confrontation with the little villain who returned Genius Getaway, Damian was initially angry that Grayson failed to capture the enemy - as well as the implication that his father failed as long as the original Genius walked back when Grayson was Robin - but when Dick explained to him that Bruce let Genius go because he found that Genius robbery only he steals the drugs he needs so he can live long enough to see his daughter growing up, Damian realizes that he never really knew his father as a person, and admits that there is more to him than Batman.

After Grayson Oberon Sexton's confidence was revealed to be an undercover Joker, Damian tortured the villain by brutally beating him with the crowbar for information, considering defending himself since Joker plans to attack him. However, the powerlessness of Prince Clown of Crime is revealed to be another ruse and he paralyzes Damian with the hidden Joker poison. The enemy intends to use Damian and Dick in his fight against their common enemies: Black Glove. Help comes in the form of the original Batman. After Bruce Wayne helps Dick and Damian defeat Black Glove and Joker, Wayne accepts his son in addition to his role as Robin. Despite Bruce's parents responsibility for Damian, he decides that he prefers Damian to continue working with Dick (who retains Batman's coat and which Bruce sees as a positive role model for his son) rather than with himself especially, because of his plans with Batman Inc..

Teen Titans

Damian joins the Teen Titans when Dick Grayson concludes that the team needs Robin, while also feeling that Damian will benefit from friendship with other heroes, having progressed to the point where he can be trusted not to kill if left 'unattended'. Although Wonder Girl rejects this decision, Grayson assures him to let Damian stay on the team because he needs Damian to learn that he can trust others not to betray him, just because his emotions endanger his first mission with the team when he attacks the new Opponent after Raven convinces him to calm down , lure their new enemy to start another wave of destruction. Robin finally began to develop friendships with Ravager, who initially reached out to Damian for their same upbringing (Ravager's father was the famous assassin, Deathstroke). Tim Drake finally comes to Titans for help after a robot duplicate of a Calculator attempt to kill his close friend, Tam Fox, and decides to rejoin the team after the mission is over. Damian chose to leave the team after Drake's return, arguing that the Teen Titans did not need two Robins, and realized that his colleagues preferred to work with Tim. Upon returning to Gotham, Damian tells Dick that even though he has been taken to Titan to make friends, he does not have to, because he already has it, Grayson himself.

When Blackbat, Stephanie Brown's predecessor, returned to Gotham, he and Damian partnered together during the reconnaissance to capture Architects, a new villain obsessed with destroying Gotham's landmarks. Damian scolds Blackbat and taunts him for being sent to Hong Kong by his father, but he ends up saving his life by rescuing him from the exploding Iceberg Lounge. After that, the two worked together to stop the bomber from destroying the big bridge, saving dozens of lives in the process.

Robin and a group of other former Titans then headed to Titans Tower to help the team during the battle against Superboy-Prime and Legion of Doom. During the battle, Robin destroys one of Superboy's wicked giant dagelgong with a Kryptonite knife.

What's New 52

Following the "Flashpoint" arc story, Bruce Wayne was restored by the authors as the only Batman in 2011 which was the relaunch of DC Comics in New 52. Dick Grayson was returned to his previous role as Nightwing, and Damian still serves as his father's vigilante partner , Robin. After reading a letter written by his father from an alternative timeline, Dark Knight decided that it was time to take steps to restore his past. He tries to teach Damian the same values his parents have implanted in him as he finally takes on his role as a father. However, despite Bruce's attempts to build a relationship with his son, Damian remains away from his father, who is worried about Alfred. Despite this tighter relationship when Damian seems to leave Wayne Manor to join the no criminals, it turns out this is a ruse by Damian to drop Nobody. Although Damian eventually killed No one in front of Bruce, they were able to overcome the incident by starting to actively understand and respect each other as father and son. Bruce goes as far as to hide the show from Dick and Tim, Alfred leads to comment to Bruce that he has become "quite an overprotective parent."

In the related issues of Batman in New 52 that occurred after Batman issued the # 14 edition (the comeback of the Jok to the comic), Damian is portrayed as a very interested man against his father's ancestral foe. He always seems to want to take the Joker, and repeatedly assumes that the bad things that happen in Gotham are tied to the Joker in some way, in anticipation of the hopeful encounter with him. In Batman and Robin vol. 2, # 15, Damian defies his father's order to stay in Batcave and investigate Alfred's abduction. The investigation led to the Gotham Zoo where Damian was captured by the Joker. The Joker accuses Damian and other members of the Batman family to be a burden that prevents Batman becoming the best enemy of the Joker. Joker tells Damian that his greatest fear and Batman are responsible for the deaths of others. Joker then presents Damian with Batman in Joker makeup, and declares that Damian must kill Batman before Batman kills him. Not wanting to kill his father, Damian chooses death, but Joker kills Batman before he can face a fatal blow. Damian runs out of Joker and Batman poison is revealed to be fake; when Damian recovers from his poison, Joker presents it with cloche. The Joker was eventually defeated by Batman, but the trust between Batman and the Batman Family was destroyed.

During the story arc "Leviathan", when his mother Talia puts a price on his head and is targeted by the most dangerous and skilled killer, Bruce faked Damian's death and alienates him in Batcave to protect him as he goes undercover to confront Talia and his men. But contrary to his father's wishes, he ran away, dressed in a new costume under the name Redbird.

Along with the mysterious Wingman and most of the Bat family, Damian manages to save his father and defeat most of the Shadow League. However, Batman explained that the temporary defeat of the League would not stop the greater force to attack later and destroy the city, so he came to the extreme decision that the only possible solution was for Damian to return to his mother, a decision that caused an emotional reaction to Damian not like before.

Death

Damian was killed against a brutal enemy, Heretic (an adult Damian clone) in the 8th edition of the second volume of Batman's comic book Batman. , which went on sale on February 27, 2013. According to the story's author, Grant Morrison: "He saved the world He does his job as Robin, He died as an absolute hero."

In the comic, Damian is fighting against the hordes of Leviathan in the Wayne Tower lobby when Nightwing comes to his rescue. Behind the cover, both of them recall briefly about their time together as Batman and Robin before resuming their defense. When Heretic arrived and knocked Nightwing out, Damian dared to fight with him. However, Heretic finally grabbed his upper hand and stabbed Damian through his chest, the sword stabbed Damian's heart and resulted in Damian dying almost instantly. A few minutes after Damian's death, Batman arrived and saw Damian's body. Angry, he and Nightwing were revived battling with Heretic, but were eventually forced back with Red Robin, and Damian's body. After holding a personal funeral for the Fallen Boy Wonder, Bruce vowed to avenge his son's death.

The next storyline, Requiem , relates to Damian's death and Batman's thirst for revenge against Talia and his increasingly unbalanced mental state resulting from this loss. She is buried beside Bruce Wayne's parents, Dad's paternal grandparents. Batman also refuses to accept his son's death, and starts looking for ways to revive Damian at the expense of his relationship with his friends and allies, and make his death a secret from the public. Damian's absence has also caused a conflict between his father and his acting instructor, Carrie Kelley, who is determined to find out what has happened to him, leading him to realize that Waynes is hiding the secret.

When Batman and Nightwing finally return to face Heretic, they conquer it, and the clone suffers brutal beatings of both in revenge for Damian's death. Batman, despite wanting to kill his son's killer more than anything and Nightwing does not try to stop his mentor, saves the criminal's life after seeing his resemblance to Damian, realizing cloning is what remains of his son. However, Talia then beheads Heretic for his failure to kill Batman, and challenges Batman to duel to death in Batcave. However, Talia was killed after a duel by Kathy Webb, and it was later revealed that Damian's body was stolen from the Manor cemetery by the League of Assassins along with Talia for a plan against Batman and then revealing their resurrection. It has also been shown that Ra's al Ghul has begun to engineer more of the Damian clones.

The Road to Awakening

After being preoccupied with a series of cases in Gotham, Batman began his attempt to reclaim Damian's body even though Ra claimed that he wanted to revive his daughter and grandchild. Batman keeps chasing out of his distrust of Ra. After defeating Damian's half-aquatic imitation with Aquaman, Batman seeks the help of Wonder Woman in pursuit of Ra for Themyscira. Despite Ra's attempts to revive Damian alongside Talia in what he thinks is Lazarus Pit on the island other than brainwashing his grandson to join him afterwards, but Ra discovers that it is a portal to the afterlife at the former Pit location, both of which Wonder Woman and Batman is aware. Ra ran away with the corpses afterward.

After Batman and Frankenstein find Ra's and the corpse, they are late because Ra has succeeded in placing them in Lazarus Pit, leaving Batman in fear of Damian's fate. The resurrection failed, leaving Ra to realize his arrogance for allowing Heretic to kill his grandson, and regretfully letting Talia clone Damian. After defeating Ra in battle, Batman reclaims Damian's body and threatens his mother's maternal grandfather that if he steals his son's body again, he will kill him in retaliation. They then meet the elite member of Darkseid, Glorious Godfrey, by moving the bow of the Robin Rises story.

Back

Then, Godfrey's reason for coming to Earth was revealed; to take on the Chaos Shard, a powerful crystal that once belonged to Darkseid expressed by Ra hidden in the sarcophagus he made for Damian. After detecting a trace of marks from the shard that comes from within Damian's body, Godfrey flees with Damian's body back to Apokolips, despite the help of the Justice League. Angry, Batman once again vows to retrieve the corpse of his son.

Batman enters and accesses the League Watchtower to use its unstable exampment known as the Hellbat armor designed by Batman himself and members of the League of Justice to engage in large-scale threats. He then activates the Boom Tube to Darkseid's homeworld, Apokolips, to retrieve Damian's corpse. Batman managed to retrieve the corpse of his son as he and his family team returned to Earth via Boom Tube directly to Batcave after escaping from Darkseid's grip and his Parademons. After this, Batman uses Chaos Shard in the corpse of his son, who has been infused with Omega Opction Darkseid. With Batman facing two choices whether to revive Damian or his parents, he chooses his son, giving a true awakening to Damian. When Damian and Batman embrace, Batman collapses from exhaustion.

However, before the team can celebrate, the Boom Tube used to return to Earth is not closed and Darkseid Kalibak's son arrives and attacks the team. During the fight, Kalibak beat the team almost to death, when suddenly Damian defeated Kalibak with a powerful blow; found out that because of Chaos Shard he has gained the abilities of the superhuman. While Damian fights Kalibak, Batman controls Batwing remotely and sends it to Kalibak, sends it back through the Boom Tube and then closes the portal. Damian then reunited with his father and his family team. In the aftermath, Damian was tested by Batman about how to control his new strength ability before Damian returned to the role of Robin. With the help of the Justice League, Batman discovered that Damian's new powers did not last long, and he ultimately relied on his natural abilities once again.

Robin: Batman's Child

After the Batman: Endgame event that resulted in Bruce Wayne's disappearance, Damian, as Robin, embarked on a world-wide journey to forge his own fate and atone for his own series, Robin: Son of Batman . Along the way, he crosses the street with Ra's and Talia al Ghul, Deathstroke, and a new character named Maya Ducard, daughter of the final villain, NoBody. Damian played a certain role in Batman and Batman as Bat-Family pitted against Mother, a cruel woman who believed she could make her 'children' stronger by placing them through intense trauma. Back to help his Robins colleagues when the crisis reaches his conclusion, Damian helps Dick, Jason and Tim regain their confidence after Mom dilutes their initial attempt against him by remembering the conversation he did with Bruce in which Bruce noted that he is proud of how all Three of the other Robins have different powers, Bruce wants his partner to find their own way rather than blindly following his own example.

Damian is also a major player in the Robin War event, where he, Agent 37 (Dick Grayson), Red Hood, and Red Robin set up a street gang called "Robins" to defeat the Owls Court with reluctant relief from Jim Gordon, who is now Batman. In the climax, the Court manipulates Damian to join them so they can use it to recruit Agent 37. Dick joins to save Damian and end the war. As a result, Robin formed an unlikely partnership with his mother Talia.

DC Rebirth

As part of DC Rebirth, Damian is featured in three titles: Teen Titans, where he leads the team to defeat Ra's al Ghul and replace Red Robin (Tim Drake) as the leader, Super Sons , starring Jon Kent, Superman's son and new Superboy and Nightwing, where he will have a supporting role.

On his 13th birthday, Damian is sent pack by his grandfather Ra's al Ghul, which contains a dead robin. After meeting his mother Talia, he discovers that it is a memorial of his cousin Mara al Ghul, who has chosen him as his prey as part of the initiation ritual he must perform in order to join the League of Assassins. Mara has been made a leader of a group known as Demon's Fist, who had originally been led by Damian, but became his own when he chose to leave the League. They have also chosen the targets they must hunt for the League. Damian decides to gather other Demon's Fist targets to form a new Teen Titans; these include Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, and Kid Flash.
