Pet Society is a social Internet game developed by Playfish that can be played on Facebook. This game is classified as one of the most popular Facebook applications. Players can design their pets by selecting gender, name, color and change appearance.
Users interact with their pets through washing, brushing, stroking and feeding. Pet players can interact with each other in a network of "friends". Pets can visit the pets of their owner's friends and do activities with these pets (washing, caring, feeding, etc.) A pet can visit other pets as often as the day they want. Players receive coins and Paw Points on their first visit that day to each friend, but only get Paw Points for their next visit. Participating in the Daily Lottery, visiting friends, winning awards, cleaning or playing with pets, winning a race, or betting on the outcome of an obstacle race also provides the player with a way to earn coins. Visiting friends, buying things, and using stadiums acquired by Paw Points players.
The match is scheduled to close on June 14, 2013; the server finally closed on June 18th.

Level
Paw Points are similar to XP/EXP (Experience) in other such social games; getting enough foot points makes the pet level rise. As pets level up, players receive coins, new features, and special status. During the initial release of Pet Society, there were 34 levels. In 2009, after the house was enlarged to accommodate 10 rooms, 13 additional levels were added, bringing the total to 47. In August 2010, the cap level of the Pet Society was raised to 100.
Certain items must be purchased at some level.
