Plot
Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) seek legal guardians for Lily if they both die, and secretly assess their family members. After rejecting Claire's (Julie Bowen) and Phil (Ty Burrell) options to be the guys, Mitchell tried to convince Cameron that Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Gloria (Sofa Vergara) could be the perfect guardian while Cameron said that his family could be Lily's guardian, something Mitchell rejected as the reason that Cam's family was far from anything Lily knew.
Jay takes Manny (Rico Rodriguez) to the store and Mitch and Cam go with them. While they talk about who could be Lily's guardian, they watched Jay give Manny a hard dose of love. Meanwhile Gloria invites Lily for a walk and she stabs her ear. When everyone returns home and sees it, the discussion about Jay and Gloria becomes the perfect guardian appears again.
Meanwhile, Claire secretly brings Luke (Nolan Gould) to a child psychologist to assess her progress because she is worried about her. Phil knew about it and he had Claire's surprise. After the session ended, Claire and Phil had a fight about something Claire had told a psychologist; that she was afraid Luke would turn into Phil. While they were fighting, they got into their car to return home, leaving Luke behind. Back home, as they speak, they realize that they leave Luke and they panic. On their way to go and find him, someone took Luke back home. Listening to his story and how he managed to find someone to take him home, Claire said that she is a wonderful child and she need not worry.
Haley (Sarah Hyland), Alex (Ariel Winter) and Haley's friend Gabby (Rachael Marie) get into trouble at school. They broke into it and a security officer arrested them for vandalism.
At the end of the episode, Mitch and Cam want to make a big announcement about who will become Lily's guardian. Mitch is ready to say that they will be Claire and Phil but Cameron, after a discussion he did with Manny about Jay, interrupts him and says that Jay and Gloria will be the ones. It made Gloria very happy. Claire on the other hand is unhappy with the decision and she tries to ask why they did not vote for him and Phil because they raised three kids with amazing. While saying that, Phil tells him that they should leave because their daughter has ruined the school.
