The seventh season The Bachelor premiered on January 7, 2013. This season featured Sean Lowe, 28 years old, former Kansas State football player from McKinney, Texas. Lowe placed third as a contestant during the eighth season of The Bachelorette with Emily Maynard. This season ends on March 11, 2013 where Catherine Giudici is crowned winner and eventually became his wife, Lowe and Giudici currently living in Irving, Texas.

Movie creation and development
Casting
Foundry started during the sixteenth season of the show. The first "The Bachelor" approached Tim Tebow, quarterback of the Denver Broncos; but he never signed an agreement. Lamar Hurd, an athlete from Portland, Oregon, has become another potential candidate, vying to become the first African-American "Bachelor". Other rumored candidates include the winner of The Bachelorette season 6 Roberto Martinez, colleague of Lowe The Bachelorette castmate Arie Luyendyk, Jr. (runner-up from Maynard season), and eleven Olympic Medalist Ryan Lochte. Luyendyk stopped to focus on his racing career. Martinez and Lochte also refused. Luyendyk will continue to be a star of The Bachelor five seasons later.
Production
This season traveled to many places including Montana, the Canadian province of Alberta, St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands and Thailand. Appearances include Ben Taylor, Eli Young Band and Sarah Darling.

Contestant
This season is the first time the official website lists 24 new contestants with one contestant from Sarjana Pad who joins the others, for a total of 25 applicants. In addition to 25 new contestants, the prime minister revealed one mysterious woman, bringing her total to 26.
Paige Vigil, a "superfan" from the third season of Bachelor Pad is included in the list.
In addition to 25 other women, Kacie Boguskie, 25 and from Clarksville, Tennessee, competed this season. Boguskie competed in Ben Flanjnik 16th season of The Bachelor and finished fourth. Boguskie has met and befriended Lowe outside of the show and host Chris Harrison invited him back for filming through a meeting with bachelors - after 25 women arrived at the mansion.

Lowe went on to compete in the sixteenth season of Dancing with the Stars . He partnered with Murgatroyd Map; she finished 6.

Season 1
AshLee Frazier, Daniella McBride, Jackie Parr, and Sarah Herron all return for the inaugural season in Paradise . McBride was eliminated in week 1, while Frazier, Herron, and Parr were knocked out at week 7.
Season 3
Herron finally returned for the third season of Bachelor in Paradise, and was eliminated at week 3. This marks the third appearance of Herron's Scholar.

Lesley Murphy participated in The Bachelor Winter Games as Team USA. He finished as runner-up.
