Plot

With Mickey now caring for Marvin, Marshall and Lily finally reunite with the gang at MacLaren. However, when the two ask Barney, Ted, and Robin about what they do, all three just say it's all good. In fact, they do not have a good thing to say per Marshall and Lily's previous "eight or higher" decisions: Victoria tells Ted a joke about him because his father is $ 70,000 for a marriage, Robin is cheated by Nick about riding a motorcycle powered by corn, and Barney just slept with another woman who was not "8 or higher."

After a short drink, Marshall and Lily went to spend time together on the road. However, the brush close to the taxi forced them to consider preparing the last will and testament, appointing a guardian to Marvin if one or both of them died (which made Lily sad for just mentioning the word). Both argue about the possibility of appointing Marshall Judy's mother, her older brother Marcus (who leaves his family despite being a good father), or Lily's parents as guardians.

Ted, Barney, and Robin volunteered to be Marvin's guardians. Marshall and Lily held a gaming show in an apartment called "Who Wants to Be Godparent?". The goal is to determine who of the three is suitable to be Marvin's godparent. When Ted, Barney, and Robin make stale answers to questions on the game, Marshall and Lily are angry at them for not appreciating how difficult it is to be a parent. The three responded by expressing their frustrations to the couple as apathetic to their personal problems. The group is at peace by dropping the "eight or higher" rule and hanging out at the bar once more. The next morning, Ted, Robin, and Barney get up in the apartment and Robin and Ted step in to help take care of Marvin to let Lily and Marshall get back to sleep while Barney leaves the apartment. Both decided to register their third as their son's legal guardian.
