Truck tents are tents designed to be mounted on pickup truck beds. It was discovered in 1990 by Roman Napieraj, founder of Napier Enterprises.
For years, campers have built makeshift truck tents from conventional tents. The truck tent provides an outdoor camping experience with additional protection and comfort to sleep on the ground. They are similar in look and function to roof tents and SUVs (SUVs). The obvious limitation of using a truck tent is that the campsites are confined to where the truck can go, and that person must have a truck to use it.

Camping with truck tents is a movement that develops among the less extreme campers who still enjoy the outdoors. Camping families seem to appreciate truck or SUV tents as they provide better protection from wet, provide instant and portable campsites, and allow increased packing space.
The truck tent is basically a conventional 2-3 person tent fitted to connect to the truck bed. Most truck tents are designed by considering certain types of trucks, or trucks with certain features - that have stairs, liftgates, camper tops, short beds, or long beds, etc. Good tents that connect or tie to several locations around the truck. Initial setup may take some time, but is quite simple after one or two attempts. Once the tent is installed in a special truck, the arrangement is as easy as setting up a traditional tent. Many supporters choose to put a mattress on the truck bed for a more comfortable experience. These mattresses are available in various sizes to fit for all trucks. The zip up window provides access to the cabin for trucks that have a rear window. Another type of truck tent is an umbrella-shaped car tent that can be used either as a car cover in the form of an umbrella, or as a tent, when taken from a vehicle. Tents of such cars have remote control and can be adjusted automatically. Tents of such cars can also serve as tents located just above the truck bed. They feature metal frames that make such a tent windproof.

Materials
International quality standards for tents require the use of the following materials for car tents, as well as for other types of camping tents: polyester PU 68D; 68D polyester breathing. To comply with the American and Canadian CPAI-84 regulations, all polyester fabrics used for the manufacture of tents must meet fire resistance standards. Forms and designs, however, are not limited by standards, as well as the technology and manufacturing materials used for ropes and stitches. Typically, truck tents have sealed seams for water installations and weather protection. The poles are made of aluminum, steel or fiberglass tied with umbilical cords. The strap is a polypropylene rope with a comfortable diameter to fit.
Manufacturer
Because camping truck tent is a rather new idea, few companies produce it. Napier and The Adventure Truck Tent are the most famous names in camping truck tents, followed by Rightline Gear, which marks the tent of their truck under the name CampRight. Although most truck tents are basically the same, they do contain some variations. The Napier truck tents are completely closed, which means there is a layer of tents covering the base of the truck bed. Instead, the Adventure Truck Tents and Camples truck tents leave the bottom open and open. The Napier tent also includes a small tent for additional rain protection. Kodiak is known for its tunnel shape design that promotes wider camping.
