Novel structure

The Sunfire books contain two themes: history and romance. Each book features a teenage girl who has a certain period or event in American history. At the same time, with very few exceptions, the girl was split between two would-be lovers. The girl usually precedes her time in ideas and actions and the applicant she almost always chooses is the person who approves or accepts her actions. The front cover always features the main character flanked by two of her lover candidates, along with scenes from the historical event or period that is the setting for the book.
